Wait until you can max your damage talent and crystals related talents, and work on your crystal spawn source (star talent, poop card and stamp also shrine later) I had about 1/120 crystal spawn chance when I started, I recon it was pretty slow though. If I understand correctly, this elite mobs has more health and damage, so if I leave game open at night, I have big chance to be killed, if I farm in high level zone.
